Happy Friday!!!

So Friday is here, and I'm trying to get more readers interested in my books.  One thing I've realized is that the most effective way to get readers to try your books is to have your book reviewed by a well-respected blogger.  When Tess Watson of My Pathway to Books reviewed Madison, I had a ton of interest.  It made a huge difference!  I do some advertising through Goodreads, and although I do generate some clicks, it doesn't seem as effective as word-of-mouth.

For those of you who have shared your love and support of my books, please help spread the word.  Let everyone know that Madison/White Ops is on sale for $0.99, and it's totally worth the read!  <3

Busy Bumblebee!

I'm only on page 213 for the sequel to Madison/White Ops, and I totally blame my current state of business.  I have lots of meatballs on my plate right now, and I just can't eat them quickly enough.  Does anyone have some parmesan?

I plan to spend some quiet time tonight writing, so that should help with my page count.  Also planning on working out, so hopefully I can manage doing both at the same time.  I'm a multi-tasker!

As I may have mentioned before, I've also lowered the price of Madison/White Ops to just $0.99 in anticipation of me finally finishing the sequel.  I'm building up nicely to the climax, and I'm excited to see what happens!

Oh, and as always, I <3 you guys!!!

Ninety-Nine Pennies!!!

I've just lowered the price on Madison and White Ops to 99 cents for a limited time, in anticipation of the sequel I'm hoping to finish in the next couple of months.  I'm hoping to get people interested in the first one, so that they'll be excited about the sequel.  I've received very positive reviews from everyone sweet enough to review it, so I think it will take off in no time!  I'm really excited, and I hope to make new fans and new friends at the same time!  I <3 you readers!!!

I Feel Like a Turtle

So I'm making very slow but steady progress on the sequel to Madison/White Ops.  I'm currently on page 211, which isn't that bad, but I wish I was closer to 240.  I'd hoped to have the book finished by July.  That's definitely not going to happen.  But that's okay, I'd rather take my time and give you, the reader, a book worth reading.  Rushing it would keep it from becoming what I hope is an excellent sequel to a book I'm very proud of.

I'm still not set on what will happen in the remaining 70-90 pages.  I'm kind of seeing where the story takes me.  In some ways, I'm on the same journey that you take when you read my books.  As I write them, I let the characters guide me.  I follow their actions based on what I think they would do, put in whatever situation they find themselves in.  If it makes sense to go down a certain path, I go down it.  I'm just as interested and excited to see what will happen to Taylor and Madison as you are.

Thank you again my wonderful readers for your love, friendship and support.  You making this sometimes challenging task of writing worth it!  <3 <3 <3

Progress is Progress

So I haven't had a whole lot of time to write lately, but I'm trying to make up for that by... writing.  :-)  I like having lunches to myself so I can write, but I really need to set aside some time specifically for writing.  I just have so many things going on right now, it's tough to find the time to do it.

The weather outside has been kind of bi-polar today.  It's gone from cloudy and windy to beautiful, sunny skies.  It was gorgeous out this morning when I went for my run.  I can't remember ever seeing the sky so blue.  It's kept me in a pretty good mood during my day job, so I can't complain too much.

I'm thinking pretty soon I should do a signing.  There's a TON of bookstores around here, and I'd be surprised if I couldn't coax one of them into letting me sign.  Could be a lot of fun!  I'll let you know if it happens, and where it will be!  <3

Page 200, Here I Come!

So I'm flirting with page 200 in my sequel to Madison/White Ops, on page 198 and 3/4.  I'm hoping today at lunch to hit 200.  Then it'll be the downhill stretch, where I see light at the end of the tunnel, and I spend more free time writing.  The only stink thing is the weather is beautiful, and I'd rather get out and enjoy it.  I've also been spending time exercising, which takes up a lot of my free time too.  Oh, the woes of being an author that also has a full-time job.

If any authors out there also have a full-time job that isn't writing, tell me how you do it!  Coffee? Insomnia?  Controlled substances?
