Publishing

I guess I just couldn't wait.  My friend unfortunately won't be able to get to the final edit until sometime in December, and I'm wanting the book to come out while people are getting new Kindles and Nooks.  The nice thing is I could always republish it.

My friend that's the NYT Bestselling author gave me a list of bloggers that I should submit my book to.  I'm really excited to hear what they have to say about it.

Editing

I have a friend at work that was an English major, so I'm having her go through my book with a fine-tooth comb.  I've already had three other friends read it.  Hopefully this version is clean.  I think the story is pretty solid, so I'm excited for it.  Been getting very positive feedback on it.

Blurbs Revised!!!

So after receiving some advice, I modified the blurb for Madison:

MADISON
I'm Taylor, and I'm just about to start my senior year of high school. What makes me special is my girlfriend, Madison. She's an actual angel. She can fly, she's super strong and she's nearly invulnerable. How do I feel about Madison? Most of the time I want to tear her clothes off, push her up against a wall and make her scream my name in ecstasy. Sometimes I just want to stare into her eyes. Into her soul. We have this perfect mix of love and sexual chemistry; a relationship for the ages. This is the story of how we met. Of how we fell in love. Of how my life changed forever.

Madison is a supernatural romance filled with tragedy, hope, espionage, sex, heartache and love. For mature readers.

It's a little shorter, which I think is a good thing.

Playing with blurbs

So I'm trying to write two blurbs for the same book; one that will hopefully appeal to male readers, one that will appeal to female readers.  Here's what I have so far:

MADISON
I'm Taylor, and I'm just about to start my senior year of high school. I stay in shape, get decent grades and I have some really good friends. What makes me special is my girlfriend, Madison. She's an angel. And I don't just mean that she's really sweet, which she is. See the world how she sees it. We have this perfect mix of love and sexual chemistry; a relationship for the ages. This is the story of how we met. Of how we fell in love. Of how my life changed forever.

Madison is a supernatural romance filled with tragedy, hope, espionage, sex, heartache and love.

For mature readers.

WHITE OPS
I never thought I'd work for a secret spy agency, drive a Lamborghini Gallardo, blow up bad guys and land the hottest, sexiest piece of ass this side of the Mason/Dixon line. But I did. This is the story of how I fell for an angel and fought a demon. Stormed a castle. Cheated death. I'm Taylor, the most badass high school student that ever lived. F*@# yeah.

For mature readers; contains strong sexual content, violence and adult language.

Anyway, if any of you readers out there have suggestions, let me know!

Goodreads!

I have just added myself to Goodreads this morning, and gave ratings for 84 books.  I'm pretty excited to finally put myself out there, now that my book is almost finished.  I'm having a friend who is also an author review it and help me edit it, and she's a NYT Bestseller, so I'm in good hands.

My first novel

I'm publishing the book I originally titled 'My Angel' under two different titles: 'Madison' and 'White Ops'.  Both books are identical other than they have different titles and covers.  I'm currently waiting for feedback from my editors before I publish them.  I should have revisions done shortly, and the books published in the next few weeks, just in time for Christmas!
